We're so excited to introduce Robyn, our new Pregnancy Resource Coordinator! 🎉

Robyn brings a wealth of knowledge from her time on staff at the Pregnancy Resource Center in Paris, TX and her heart is to make sure every woman who walks through our doors at the AXIA Center, feels genuinely cared for, heard, and supported. That's the kind of ministry you help make possible through your support of Living Alternatives.

To everyone who prays for us, gives to us, and cheers us on, we want to express our gratitude. Because of you, women like the ones Robyn will meet this week have someone in their corner from day one.

Welcome to the team, Robyn! We can't wait to see how God uses you here. đź’›

Their story isn't over: EXCLUSIVE CONTENT. You’re going to love what the kids say!💛

We've walked together with the Persing family's journey — from an unexpected diagnosis in the delivery room to a life built on faith, family, and seeing every person as more than a label.

Now, their full story is live on our blog — including exclusive video content from their children.

Read it, watch it, and see why and

Today marks the final spotlight in our series on the Persing family's journey!

When we started this project, we were deeply moved by their view on human value—a core belief that sits at the heart of everything we do at Living Alternatives.

Your likes, comments, and shares show us that this message resonates with you as well.

We are so grateful to have shared their story. Look out for a blog post next week where we’ll be bringing all of these episodes together in one place!

At Living Alternatives, we continue to promote a culture of life—because every life is sacred, and every story matters.

Have you been following this story? It is still unfolding, but baby Gabriel is here and his life is valuable!

Does a defect define someone’s value?

Pray for his recovery. Pray for this little baby’s life.

UPDATE: Baby Gabriel is here!

McKenna gave birth after courageously refusing the contracting parents’ demand that she abort him because of his serious but treatable heart condition.

Heartbreakingly, a temporary restraining order issued yesterday prevented McKenna from seeing or holding the baby she carried and fought to protect.

But Gabriel is doing well, and because of a separate court order, he is now on the path to receiving the life-saving medical care he needs.

Please pray for this precious baby boy and for McKenna.

There's a moment in the Persing’s story where the couple talks about something we don't discuss enough: how easy it is to label people by a diagnosis, a circumstance, or a category—and lose sight of the person underneath.

It happens with a prenatal diagnosis. It happens with an unplanned pregnancy. It happens with a struggling parent, a scared teenager, a single mom trying to figure it all out.

But at Living Alternatives, we believe every person carries value that no diagnosis, circumstance, or label can diminish.

That belief is why we exist. It's why we have a maternity home. It's why we walk alongside parents from the first positive test to years down the road. Valuing life doesn't stop at birth. It's a commitment to the whole story.

We love the Persings and thankful for their willingness to share their story with us.

What's one way you've seen someone's value overlooked because of a label or circumstance? We'd love to hear your story in the comments. đź’›

Jesus shows us the value of every life.

May we never become so focused on winning arguments that we forget to love and care for people. ❤️ Every human being bears the image of God. Every single story deserves compassion. Every life is worth pursuing.

"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine... until he finds it?" — Luke 15:4

"She is still my child." đź’›

Every life is sacred! We believe that. We promote a culture of life in every aspect of our ministry at Living Alternatives.

This couple wasn't expecting the diagnosis they received. Their labor moved fast, and in the middle of it, they learned their baby had Down syndrome. Fear of the unknown and what this would mean for their family crept into their minds.

But in that moment, this mother said something that changed everything: "She is still my child.

No one ever made them feel like their baby was less than. And today, they look back on that moment with grateful hearts that this was how their journey began.

Before Living Alternatives was Lorin’s calling, it was her testimony. A season of searching, a friend who chose love over judgment, and a journey toward freedom that changed everything.

Today, as our executive director, Lorin leads with the same posture that once changed her life: serve first, love unconditionally.

We are thankful for Lorin’s leadership and sharing her story with us. As you watch, consider: is God stirring something in you to serve, too? 💛

We’d love to share how you can be part of this ministry. Learn more about volunteering → https://livingalternatives.org/volunteer/
