We read ‘The Sandwich Swap’ by her Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah at Story & Craft yesterday. It’s about friendship and learning to celebrate our differences… and it all started with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich 😊. We made some cute sandwich crafts and friendship keychains to go along with the story!

Even though none of us here at the Linden Library knew Dolly personally, she seemed like a friend to anyone who loves books as much as we do. She will be remembered for many things, but one of her most generous lasting legacies will be her Imagination Library. This program mails one free book a month to children from birth until their fifth birtday; a true gift that has lasting impact. As children age out of the program and receive their last book, a letter from Dolly is included inside. She encourages the children to have fun in school, learn everything they can, and to continue reading because "Every book is a treasure and every time you open one up you will meet new friends and take wonderful journeys to magical places." We hope that you will realize this great gift that Dolly held so dear to her heart and take advantage of this amazing program.
