Check out the latest Buffalo River Review which has published the upcoming ballot for the August 6th Primary and General Election. Primary elections will be held for Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Tennessee Senate (odd-numbered districts), Tennessee House, and Republican and Democratic State Executive Committees. General elections will be held for vacant state judicial offices and applicable county offices.

Early voting will be held from Friday July 17 to Saturday August 1, 2026. Absentee Ballot Request Deadline is Monday, July 27, 2026. The Perry County Election Office phone number is (931) 589-2025.

Bob Ousley, Chairman and the Perry County Republican Party is facilitating a public non-partisan county candidate forum at the Azbill Community Center, Linden, 6pm, on Thursday June 18, 2026.
This will not be a debate, candidates will present their vision for the county positions they are running for to interested county voters. One independent Candidate for the District 8 Congressional seat may join us as well.
The forum will be covered by FM radio station, WOPC, 101.3. The evening will be an opportunity for county voters to meet the candidates running for local offices. Please help us spread the word and help the voters of Perry County learn more about the candidates.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Polls for the State and County primaries are open next Tuesday, May 5th at the community center. While there is not a lot of choice to choose from, it's a great time to exercise your civic duty.
