The Linden Public Library was proud to celebrate Lupus Awareness Month with the NJ Northeast Lupus Support Group on May 19th, and to help educate our community about the condition. 💜
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks healthy tissues and organs, often causing pain, fatigue, inflammation, and other serious health complications.
A special shoutout to Lupus Warriors Charlotte Diakite and Larrie Graham for their tireless advocacy and support of others living with lupus. Their dedication helps raise awareness, build community, and inspire hope.
We also thank Mayor Derek Armstead and the Linden City Council for standing with these warriors and issuing a proclamation in support of those affected by Lupus.
