Attention Lindenhurst small- and medium-sized businesses 📣: ComEd is launching a $2.5 million Customer Relief Fund to help eligible businesses with past-due electric bills.💡 Eligible businesses can apply for a one-time matching grant of up to $500 toward their past-due balance. Businesses must make a payment toward their overdue bill, and ComEd will match the approved amount (up to $500), while funds are available.

Eligibility includes:
• Active ComEd commercial account
• Past-due balance
• No unpaid tampering fees or bankruptcy
• Business demand under 500 kW

Applications opened June 15 and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Check out www.comed.com/smbrelief for more information.

At yesterday’s Village Board meeting, the Village recognized Kim McCollum, Building Permit Coordinator, for 20 years of dedicated service to the Village of Lindenhurst.👏

Kim began her career with the Village as a Customer Service Representative in the Administration Department. In her current role, she assists residents and businesses through the building permit application and review process, providing timely, professional, and high-quality customer service while helping navigate building department procedures.

The Village of Lindenhurst is committed to promoting sustainability and enhancing our community's natural landscape through our 50/50 program. 🌳 Residents can receive reimbursement for:
✔️ Planting a tree
✔️ Adding shoreline buffer plantings
✔️ Purchasing a rain barrel or compost bin
✔️ Installing a culvert pipe
Program Guidelines:
• Reimbursements are provided after proof of purchase and residency.
• Each household is eligible once per fiscal year (May 1 – April 30).
• Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis while budgeted resources last.
These initiatives contribute to enhancing our forestry landscape, preserving lake shorelines, improving stormwater drainage, and reducing water consumption. For full program details, please visit www.lindenhurstil.org/5050programs.
