Hi everyone,
I keep getting Facebook notices that this page is getting 4-5 visitors a week. I'm not quite sure why, but thank you! I suppose I should have posted on here after the election a note about the results: I did not win. I am 100% ok with the outcome. More like 110% actually. The timing of the election just did not work for me. I was so busy with other commitments that I spent very little time on the election. I actually was completely stunned by the number of votes I received--almost 1,000!! If you voted for me or supported me in any way, many, many thanks. I hope you don't feel the vote was wasted. I don't think it was for this reason: It has inspired me to run again in the future when I am able to fully commit to the campaign process. This time around taught me I could have had it had I put in the time. And I learned that knocking on doors and talking to people isn't as scary as I thought it might be. It was actually kind of fun!
I'm keeping this page and will post on it from time to time because I want to be involved and I want to try again when the time is right. Someday it's going to be my honor to carry the title of "public servant." Until then, thank you for your support and inspiration to keep at it!
The only part about the election that made me sad was the loss of good friends Shawn Moon and Cole Hooley. They both worked SO hard on the election. I did not deserve to win, but they sure put in the effort to and came so close.
For this page, I plan to continue posting my thoughts on the issues closest to my heart, things such as the risks and threats to our democracy, the need for term limits, and the incredibly harmful effects of standardized testing (not a sexy political topic I realize, but in my view is single-handedly responsible for ruining American education). I'd love for this page to get a build-up of likes so that when I run again, I'll be able to have a nice starting platform. Because I'm not entirely sure what I'll run for when I'm ready, I'm changing the page title to a more generic, Jennifer Price for Utah.
Thank you, and see you in 2023! or 2024!
Jenn
