Tree Limb Removal & City Assistance

Due to the recent storm and the large number of downed trees, City crews are working to clear streets and restore essential services. Once this work is completed, a community-wide tree limb pickup will begin.

Using Lincoln and Main Street as the dividing lines, curbside collection is expected to start next week in the northwest quadrant moving counter-clockwise throughout the City. Crews will make one pass per street, so please have all limbs placed at the curb by 7:30am Monday, June 15. Collection may take several days as crews balance storm cleanup with their regular duties.

To assist with efficient pickup, please:
• Place limbs at the curb without blocking streets or sidewalks
• Cut limbs into manageable lengths (no longer than 12 feet)
• Keep piles 12 feet or less in length and do not overlap piles

Please note:
• Only tree limbs will be collected
• Construction debris, leaves, bagged materials, and other yard waste will not be picked up
• If you choose City curbside pickup, please be aware crews are not responsible for damage to sprinkler heads, lawn ruts, or similar impacts resulting from the equipment used

Residents needing immediate removal may consider hiring a private contractor.

For questions, please contact City Hall at 785-227-3355.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to restore our community safely and efficiently.

A big thank you to White's Foodliner for being a great community partner! Chief Reed and City Administrator Tanner Faust distributed bottled water generously donated by White’s to those out working hard on storm cleanup today.

We are incredibly grateful to White’s and all of the community members who jumped in to support one another in the aftermath of the storm. The care and compassion shown across our community truly make Lindsborg a special place.

Until further notice, residents are asked to avoid excessive water consumption and irrigation. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we respond to this situation.

If you notice a downed power line in your yard or nearby, please stay away—assume it is energized and dangerous.

The City is aware of the city-wide power outage and are working to find the issue and get it restored.

We ask that you conserve water and shut off sprinkler systems until they can confirm that there is power at the wells.

There are trees in the streets and city crews are getting them moved out of roadways as quickly and safely as possible. We ask that you stay off roads if possible.

Thank you for your patience as city crews work to restore power and clear streets.

If you have any power or water issues, please call the after hours number at 785-227-3469.
