Did you know that Tower 35 is the only unit in Lower Paxton that can serve as a Tower or an Engine on the fireground? Tower 35 is able to reach to heights of 102' with the platform, and also has a 2,000 gallon per minute water pump that can be used to put the fire out. While it is primarily used as an aerial device, it is always good to have a dual purpose piece to ensure redundancies in the event of mechanical issues. Keep on truckin'

Today crews took the time to congratulate Assistant Chief Emeritus Jeff Phillips on 35 years of service to Linglestown Fire Company and the residents of Lower Paxton Township. Jeff is moving to Tennessee and took his last shift today. Township crews came together to share lunch, memories, stories, and brotherhood. Jeff was presented with the Legacy Award by Assistant Chief Crum on behalf of the Bureau, and Chief Harp and Captain Artz presented him with his helmet to keep. The memories and experiences inside that helmet will remind him of his service for many years to come!

Jeff, enjoy Tennessee and stop in if you are ever back up here!

A friendly reminder - the station parking lot is not a through street. Our members respond to the station through the lot and recently an accident almost occurred with a driver using the parking lot as a shortcut to Pennsylvania Avenue. PA Ave should be accessed via the roundabout to avoid possibilities like this one. Fortunately both drivers were able to avoid a crash. Please slow down, use the appropriate roads, and get to where you are going safely!
