A friendly reminder - the station parking lot is not a through street. Our members respond to the station through the lot and recently an accident almost occurred with a driver using the parking lot as a shortcut to Pennsylvania Avenue. PA Ave should be accessed via the roundabout to avoid possibilities like this one. Fortunately both drivers were able to avoid a crash. Please slow down, use the appropriate roads, and get to where you are going safely!

In the early morning hours today, the 34-3 box was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm. Upon Squad 34’s arrival, crews encountered smoke conditions on the first floor and upgraded the incident to a structure fire.

The Township reserve engine, operating as Engine 35, arrived and laid 1,300 feet of 5-inch supply line from the entrance road to the front of the building before sending its crew forward. Tower 35 arrived shortly after, set up on Side A, and laddered the building.

The fire was contained to a dryer in the laundry room. Crews removed the dryer from the building, and no fire extension was found. Command then scaled the box back to the units already on scene.
