Ladies and Gentlemen, for those of you who received the Sunday Jeff City Newspaper and may have read the small article By: Lilly Goss interviewing myself and my opponent on Public Administrator.
Below you will see the questions I was asked and my full answers. I don't appreciate Miss Lilly putting words in my mouth or taking away. Kind of a waste of my time!!!
I'm not going to spend much time defending Paul Stratman on here. However, my opponent is bad mouthing him through hearsay and not true FACTS! What I do know is that there is an Office at the Annex Building for the Public Administrator, the job isn't a 9 to 5 job it's a 24/7 job. Client's needs just don't go away at 5. Just because a job isn't done to your standards doesn't mean that job isn't getting done!!!
What challenges do you think the office will have over the next term?
It will be a challenge to do these things but also one I am willing to work at and succeed getting done. So I would like to get more Funding & Support from people & places to do more for our Osage County people that are in need. Getting more people interested in helping out and getting programs started for Osage County. Educating our Communities on the things they may not be aware of that needs their help in Osage County.
What are some strengths and weaknesses of the public administration office in Osage County?
I really can't fully answer that since I have not worked in the office for Public Administration. However I think Paul Stratman has done an amazing job for as many years he has been in office. Paul told me one day that he learned along the way and he definitely has learned a lot but he also stated that there are many more things to still learn in this job as there are with any job. I hope to be as good as Paul if not better. Getting things in place takes time and I'm willing to put my time into it.
What challenges do you think you will personally face if elected?
The challenges I will be up against are the same as the challenges I answered in the Office over the next term. I also want to make sure I get to know each one of my clients/consumers personally. Again, I am always up for a challenge and will do my best to succeed in doing the job.
What opportunities do you see for improvement and growth in Osage county?
I really want to educate the people on all spectrums of disability and mental health, but not only to educate Osage County, get them the material, help, etc. that is needed. So many people have no clue what is going on in their own Community or how to help these people. With that being said I have worked with several clients/consumers for over 5 years just here in Linn, MO (Osage County) that I see there needs to be more programs, places, and help in different areas.
