Hello Everyone, a quick Election Day Reminder, The polls for the 2025 Maine Referendum Election are open today from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Town Office. 🗳️

Questions will appear on the ballot as follows:

QUESTION 1: “Do you want to change Maine election laws to eliminate two days of absentee voting, prohibit requests for absentee ballots by phone or family members, end ongoing absentee voter status for seniors and people with disabilities, ban prepaid postage on absentee ballot return envelopes, limit the number of drop boxes, require voters to show certain photo ID before voting, and make other changes to our elections?”

QUESTION 2: “Do you want to allow courts to temporarily prohibit a person from having dangerous weapons if law enforcement, family, or household members show that the person poses a significant danger of causing physical injury to themselves or others?”

The Linneus Haunted Hayride is having a Kid Friendly Ride Saturday October 25th 4pm-5pm. The volunteers will be dressed up but no scaring. We will be making stops and handing out candy throughout the ride. Age recommendation is 12 and under with an adult to accompany them. Price is FREE. Bags will be provided but are limited.

Hodgdon Project Grad will be selling concessions and the Hodgdon Senior class will be selling souvenir t-shirts!

The Linneus Rec is hosting their first annual Trunk or Treat. Kids of all ages are welcome! If you would like to set up a space to pass out candy, please reach out to the Rec Dept via Facebook. 🎃👻🍬🍭

UPDATE: due to the rain expected for Friday October 31st we have decided to move the trunk or treat to Thursday October 30th 4-6pm. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Join Us on October 30th 4-6pm at the Linneus Fire Station for our first annual Trunk Or Treat! Kids of all ages are welcome! Their will be treats, games, music and more. If you would like to hand out candy please reach out to us via Facebook.

Hello Everyone, Just a quick reminder for the upcoming week,

The Referendum Election for the SAD #70 School Budget for the 2025/2026 Year will be taking place at the Linneus Town Office Thursday, October 2, 2025. Our Polls will be open from 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. We do have revised Budget packets available at the Office and We do have Absentee Ballots available as well. Please give us a call here at the Office with any questions.
