April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. On Friday, April 10, 2026, agencies from the 9th Circuit came together in support of Go Blue Day—a day
dedicated to raising awareness and showing our commitment to protecting children in our communities.
Representatives included the 9th Circuit Juvenile Office, 9th Circuit Children’s Division, Linn County 911 Central Dispatch, Linn County Sheriff’s Department, Brookfield Police Department, Linn County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Marceline Police Department.
Child abuse prevention starts with strong communities. By supporting families, increasing awareness, and working together across agencies, we can help ensure children grow up in safe, stable, and nurturing environments. Everyone has a role to play—whether it’s recognizing the signs of abuse, offering support to families, or speaking up when something doesn’t seem right.
Together, we stand united in our efforts to promote child safety, strengthen families, and prevent abuse and neglect.
