Learning more skills to better assist women in the homebirth space!

I have been attending births for over 7 years, seen hundreds of babies born and now more than ever eager to take it to the next level.

Sometime soon I hope to become a homebirth midwife apprentice.. not quite yet. But im inching closer 😆

Yes. I know. I hear you all. I'm working on it! Lol

I love being a doula so much. I need more time to soak that in before becoming more and something different. ❤️

I love women. I love birth. And ill continue to put my all into this work.

In light of recent news.. I have been deeply pondering on postpartum care.

From personal experience and what I witness every day in my work..

We have desperately lost our way.

Expected to thrive on our own. Applauded for doing it all. Offered empty accolades and encouragements.

But who is showing up?

Who is making soup?

Who is making tea?

Who is drawing a bath?

Who is holding baby so the mother can sleep?

Who is reassuring that things are ok or normal?

NOT our mothers and sisters? Not our grandmother's or aunts?

Hired help. Pharmaceuticals. Professionals and providers that don't listen. Families are detached and disconnected.

Women are drowning in plain sight.
There is something very wrong in our culture.

1 in 8 women experience Postpartum Depression.
1 in 5 experience postpartum anxiety.

Not to mention;
Rage. Irritability. Numbness. Isolation.

Birth has always been more than a profession to me—it's a calling.

As a mother of four, I've experienced firsthand the beauty, the uncertainty, the strength, and the transformation that comes with bringing new life into the world. Those experiences, along with my faith and passion for serving others, led me to become a birth doula.

I believe every family deserves to feel seen, heard, informed, and deeply supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. My goal isn't to replace your medical team—it's to walk alongside you, helping you feel confident in your choices while creating a calm, encouraging presence during one of life's most meaningful moments.

It is so wholesome and just great fun to have such amazing women come alongside me as they begin their doula journey.

When I first stepped into birth work, I quickly realized that passion alone wasn't enough. I needed guidance, community, wisdom, and someone who had already walked the road ahead of me.

That's exactly why I created The Village Doula Mentorship.
