A lithium-ion battery overheated and caught fire inside a condo in New Smyrna Beach, burned a chair, and forced some residents to be evacuated, according to the New Smyrna Beach Fire Department.

On honeymoon in Puerto Rico, fire chief battles restaurant . "Unfortunately, there was no sprinkler system or extinguishing system in the restaurant or in the kitchen, so we had to use just common extinguishers.The smoke just started getting thicker and heavier, and you could really start feeling the heat coming from the kitchen into the dining area" !

Chief Dante Suarez used several fire extinguishers to put out flames in a kitchen and stop them from spreading.

: Historic Rego Park rec center reopens after 4-year reconstruction. The building now has improved safety systems, including a new fire alarm and system.
