Public Notice :

INDOT has released preliminary plans for upcoming improvements to traffic signals along State Roads 54 and 59 in Linton.

The project includes modernization of the traffic signal at SR 54 and the Burger King Driveway, along with backup power improvements to traffic signals at several locations along SR 54 and SR 59.

During construction, drivers may see flagging, barrels and temporary single-lane closures. INDOT will provide notice to local schools and emergency services before any potential closures or detours.

Residents may also submit comments or request a public hearing through August 28, 2026. Comments regarding the proposed SR 54 and SR 59 improvements, as well as requests for a public hearing, may be submitted using the contact information provided in the attached legal notice through August 28, 2026.

Join us on Saturday, September 12 at 9:00 AM for a pickleball tournament benefiting the Christmas lights in Humphreys Park!

Teams will be divided into brackets based on ability and skill level.

💲 $40 per team
📅 Registration deadline: September 10

We’re also looking at adding a FREE kids bracket for ages 12/13 and under! This would be a fun way to get younger players involved in pickleball and participating in City activities. If you have a child who would be interested, please let us know in the comments!

While you’re at the park, be sure to stick around and support Madi’s Day of Hope, which will be taking place at the front of the park that afternoon.

Come out, play some pickleball, support a couple of great causes, and enjoy a day at Humphreys Park! 🏓🎄

An exciting update from the A.M. Risher Pool renovation.

The new liner for the baby pool has officially been installed, and work is now underway on the main pool liner. Every step brings us closer to welcoming everyone back to the pool.

Thank you for your continued patience and support as these improvements move forward. We look forward to sharing more progress as the project continues.

Despite this year’s Linton Freedom Festival celebration being wrapped up & concluded, we still wanted to share a few more moments from an incredible Fourth of July weekend.

From live music at Humphrey Park and the carnival to a spectacular fireworks show, it was great to see so many families, friends, and visitors enjoying everything our community had to offer.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, sponsored events, and helped make this year's celebration a success. A special thank you to theLinton Freedom Festival, Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce, local organizations, city departments, public safety personnel, vendors, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the weekend possible.

Most importantly, thank you to our community for coming together to celebrate 250 years of freedom. Your participation is what makes these events so special.

We hope you enjoyed the celebration as much as we did. We are already looking forward to next year's Linton Freedom Festival and creating even more memories together.
