On Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, we celebrated the promotions of Lieutenant Charles Champion, Sergeant James Cohen, and Sergeant Sean Boylan. They were formally recognized by Mayor Matik and Chief Cunningham, members of city council, fellow law enforcement officers, family, friends, and members of the community who came to show their support. Congratulation's to these well deserving leaders as they continue their serving our city and department!

We are also pleased to announce that we are adding three new officers to our ranks. Gianna Childs, Dylan Dill, and Anthony Ortiz were sworn in and will be attending the Atlantic County Police Academy starting on April 27th. Join us in congratulating them as they begin their journey through the police academy and their law enforcement careers. We are confident in their abilities and we know they will do great throughout their law enforcement careers!
