Reno Township Fire Protection is provided by the Leavenworth County Fire District #2 (LVCOFD #2) since 2024 We operate from one station with 5 trucks.

Reno Township consists of the southwest portion of Leavenworth County, KS, a rural/residential area of 40 square miles including 8 miles of the Kansas Turnpike. Reno Township Fire Department is located in Leavenworth County Kansas, between Tonganoxie and Lawrence. t, whose members are all on volunteer status. We provide mutual aid with all departments in Leavenworth and Jefferson Counties, and at this time Eudora City Fire in Douglas County.

This schedule has been in effect with the formation of Lv Co Fire District #2.

The Fire District 2 Meetings are the 1st Monday of each month at the Main Fire House in Linwood.

With the formation of the Leavenworth County Fire District no. 2 (LVCOFD #2) this page will be designated to the Reno Township. We will attempt to keep the Reno area informed about township affairs and meetings. We will also continue to share information about LVCOFD #2, but you can follow their page for specific information.

Although the Lawrence Torneden Fire Station, formerly known as the Reno Twp Fire Department, has been incorporated into the LVCOFD #2, the Reno Township Board will continue to meet in the same building.

Our meeting schedule has been changed and regular township meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the 1st month of each Quarter, unless otherwise announced. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, July 9th, which will also be our Annual Budget Hearing.

All meetings are open to the public.

Reno Township in Leavenworth County will be holding its annual Budget Hearing for fiscal 2025, Tuesday July 9th, at 7pm at the Leavenworth County Fire District Station #2, the Lawrence Torneden Fire Station, formerly known as the "Reno Fire Station", located at 12755 238th St, Linwood.
