Sonrise Christian Day School We are a Keystone Stars rated program and also licensed by Pennsylvania Department of Education. Qua All of our teachers are highly qualified and educated.

Sonrise Christian Day School is located in Linwood PA, serving families with children 6 weeks to 5 years and before and after care for school aged children. We also offer Pre-K Counts , a program for free preschool for qualifying families. The school is conducted on a non-profit but self-sustaining basis. Sonrise is an equal opportunity care provider. Admissions, the provision or services, and th

e referrals of employees shall be made without regard to race, color, religious creed, handicap, ancestry, national origin, age or sex. Program services shall be made accessible to eligible handicapped employees through the most practical and economically feasible methods available. These methods include, but are not limited to, equipment redesign, the provision of aids, and the use of alternative service delivery locations. Structural modifications shall be considered only as a last resort among available methods. No denominational emphasis is made even though the school is a ministry of Linwood Heights United Methodist Church. Classes are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis according to the date of enrollment by the director. If the classes are filled when a parent calls, the child’s name will be placed on a waiting list. We accept CCIS as well as private pay clients.

🍽️ Now Hiring: Kitchen Staff

Sonrise Christian Day School is seeking a dependable and friendly person to join our team!

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
**Starting Pay:** $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities include heating, plating, and serving breakfast and lunch; cleaning the kitchen and cafeteria; maintaining refrigerators and food supplies; following CACFP and food-safety guidelines; and interacting positively with children and staff.

Applicants must be willing to complete required clearances, training, and ServSafe certification. Food-service or childcare experience is preferred but not required.

🍎 Tuesday Teacher Tip: Getting Ready for Back to School! ✏️

A new school year is right around the corner! 💛

One of the best ways to help little ones prepare for the transition is to start getting back into a school-year routine before the first day.

⏰ Begin adjusting bedtime and wake-up times
🎒 Let your child help prepare their backpack
👟 Practice getting shoes and jackets on independently
📚 Read a story together before bedtime
💬 Talk positively about seeing teachers and friends again
❤️ Remind them that it’s okay to feel excited and a little nervous!

Small routines now can help make those first few school mornings feel a whole lot easier.
