🚒 Preparing for the Future 🚒
Earlier this year, five members of the Lipan Volunteer Fire Department graduated from the 2026 Spring Rookie School, completing the training required to become firefighters.

Now, we have four more dedicated volunteers working toward earning a spot in the upcoming SFFMA District 16 Fire School. Unlike previous years, admission is limited, and applicants must qualify for acceptance.

Volunteer firefighters dedicate countless hours to training while balancing jobs, family, and everyday life—all to be ready when someone in our community calls 911.

Please join us in wishing these volunteers the very best as they work toward earning a place in this next class. We are proud of their commitment, dedication, and willingness to serve.

THANK YOU TO ANHEUSER-BUSCH!
Today the Lipan Volunteer Fire Department proudly received a pallet of emergency drinking water through the Anheuser-Busch Emergency Drinking Water for Wildland Firefighters Program in partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council.
As a 100% volunteer fire department serving our rural community, we often battle Texas heat while responding to wildland fires, grass fires, vehicle accidents, and other emergencies. Having plenty of drinking water available keeps our firefighters hydrated, healthy, and ready to serve when our community needs us most.
This generous donation means more than just bottled water—it means one less expense our department has to cover and more resources that can be directed toward equipment, training, and protecting the citizens of Lipan.
We are incredibly grateful to Anheuser-Busch and the National Volunteer Fire Council for recognizing the needs of volunteer fire departments across the country and investing in firefighter safety.

Reminder that Erath County and Palo Pinto County are in burn bans. It’s extremely dry right now so be very cautious and notify the fire marshal’s office before doing any controlled burning in the counties where is currently permitted.
