Yesterday, our crew had a very special moment as they were presented with their Stork Pins from mom and baby in recognition of assisting with a delivery last June.

Mom and baby are both doing well, and with mom’s permission, we are honored to share a few photos from the ceremony.

Moments like these are a reminder of how meaningful EMS can be not only during emergencies, but during some of life’s happiest moments as well. Congratulations again to the crew involved, and thank you to the family for allowing us to be part of such a special day.

We will cherish these moments for years to come. 💕

As we begin National EMS Week, Lisbon Emergency would like to thank the EMS professionals who serve our communities every day.

This year’s EMS Week theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” reflects the teamwork and partnerships that make emergency care possible. From EMS providers and dispatchers to nurses, physicians, firefighters, and law enforcement, we all play a vital part in patient care.

Incidents like these are a reminder of the challenges emergency responders face every day and the strength it takes to answer the call when communities need help the most.

As we wrap up NATIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATORS WEEK, we want to give a massive shout-out 📣 to the Lisbon Communications Center.

While they work quietly behind the scenes, their impact on the Town of Lisbon, Maine is heard loud and clear every single day.

Lisbon is unique because it maintains its own dedicated dispatch center to serve its residents. This means that when you call 911 in Lisbon, you are talking to someone who knows your streets, your neighborhoods, and your community landmarks by heart.🗺

📍 The Lisbon Communications Center is the primary "Public Safety Answering Point" for the town, meaning they are the very first point of contact for any emergency in Lisbon.

📍 They provide seamless coordination for the Lisbon Police Department, Lisbon Fire Department, and Lisbon Emergency - official - handling all three branches of public safety under one roof.

Lisbon Emergency will be holding a budget presentation for the residents of Lisbon, Bowdoin and Bowdoinham on Tuesday February 24th at 6pm in the Lisbon Community School 33 Mill St. Lisbon, ME. Lisbon Emergency is the transporting 911 Ambulance Service for the Towns of Lisbon, Bowdoin and Bowdoinham. We started in 1975 and continue to serve our towns today as a 501 c 3 non-profit. We are holding the public budget presentation to inform the taxpayers of the service we provide, our operational/financial condition and the opportunity to answer questions and concerns before the formal budget presentation to your selectboard’s and town council.
