DID YOU KNOW? Every time you turn on a faucet, take a shower or flush a toilet, there are hard-working individuals behind the scenes who make it all possible.
Because of the important role that water and wastewater workers have in our communities, August 23–29, 2026 has been designated as Water and Wastewater Workers of Iowa Week.
These operators keep clean water flowing and wastewater moving safely by maintaining complex systems that most people rarely think about, and they respond around the clock to leaks, equipment failures, severe weather, and other emergencies—all to ensure that our homes, businesses and schools have the essential services they need.
Thank you, Lisbon Public Works Crew, for all that you do to serve our city!

UPDATE: The PRE - ORDER window has been closed and all orders have been submitted. However, if you would like to still place an order to secure a shirt, we are accepting orders from now until Monday, September 7th. Orders will be submitted to Barnyard on Tuesday, September 8th, and once completed, your order can be picked up at City Hall.

Reminder you can purchase shirts September 7th at the pancake breakfast, however, supplies will be limited.

Want to place your order now, but can't make it to City Hall? Place your order at this link: https://forms.gle/JNamJhefqGFiTkBQ9 and drop off payment in our secure drop box at City Hall, 24/7. Just remember to put the same name on both the order form, and the payment.

Missing anything? Over the last few weeks we have a small collection of items at City Hall looking for their owners:

- Large Blanket - Found during Sauerkraut Day clean up
- 26 oz TAL Water Bottle - found at the City Park in July
- Wireless Ear buds in a case - found out City Park last week
