Today, members of the Lisbon Fire Department trained alongside our mutual aid partners at Durham Fire and Rescue for water rescue operations. Crews participated in both classroom and hands-on training focused on equipment, tactics, and coordinated boat operations.

Training with our mutual aid partners helps ensure we are prepared for water rescue emergencies and other high-risk incidents in our community.

Lisbon Fire Department would like to recognize the hard work of the Lisbon Police Department during National Police Week.

We are thankful for the dedication and professionalism the officers of LPD bring to our community each and every day. Both departments regularly work side-by-side at critical incidents, and to say Lisbon Police lives by their core values of integrity, respect, and compassion would be an understatement.

While we may occasionally remind them that firefighters are everyoneโ€™s favorite first responders, we are proud to stand alongside the men and women of LPD in serving our town.

Below are a few of our favorite photos of Lisbon Police in action.

Thank you, LPD!

This week, your Lisbon firefighters trained on drafting and pump operations with Tender 2 and Engine 1 โ€” building and sharpening the skills needed to keep water flowing efficiently on the fireground. Training included both new operators and refresher training for experienced members.

Did you know that every day, the firefighters on duty complete training to stay prepared for the emergencies our community depends on us for? Continuous training is what helps ensure a safe, effective, and professional response when seconds matter most.

Interested in joining the Lisbon Fire family? Weโ€™re always looking for dedicated on-call members. Stop by the station or send us a message to learn more!

This weekend marks the National Fallen Firefighters memorial weekend in Emmitsburg, Maryland โ€”a time to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

We are proud to have one of our members attending as a Family Es**rt, supporting the loved ones of our fallen heroes during this meaningful tribute.

We are also deeply honored to remember one of our own, James Fournier, on the Walk of Honor, where his name is forever etched among the brave. His legacy continues to live on in our department and our community.

Please take a moment this weekend to reflect and remember.

*Late Notice*
Yesterday afternoon around 1:30pm the Lisbon Fire Department was requested to respond to River Rd in Brunswick for a reported structure fire with injuries.
With the fire located outside of their hydrant district Tender 2 along with 501 responded to the scene. 501 assisted with fire extinguishment and Tender 2 supplied a dump tank and 1800 gallons of water to establish a water supply on scene. E1 was directed to establish a water supply at a near by dry hydrant.
Crews encountered difficulties with the dry hydrant and transitioned to a floating strainer and 50ft of hard suction, allowing E1 to resupply multiple tankers throughout the incident.
Units were back in Town and in service around 4:45pm.
