Come to SELCC for lunch today! We'll be serving up chicken fried rice with steamed vegetables, along with fresh fruit and veggies, from noon to 1pm. The meal is FREE for everyone. Get it to go or dine in. We can't wait to see you!

At 1pm, we'll get creative with Tanager Expressive Arts! Stop in anytime between 1 and 3pm, but be sure to come early enough to have some fun! No registration required.

🚨 WE WILL BE CLOSED THIS FRIDAY! 🚨 Lisbon Sauerkraut Days will close the road in front of our building, so we are going to close as well. If you are doing a food pantry order this week, please be sure to place your order and pick it up before Friday. On Friday, there will be no pantry access, Meals on Wheels deliveries, Linn Lunch Bunch, or bingo. There will also be NO SUMMER MEAL at First Presbyterian Church of Mount Vernon, Iowa.

We held our annual school supply distribution yesterday! Our staff and volunteers provided supplies to more than 150 students in 65 different households. Thanks to the Mount Vernon Community School District’s Kids in Need program for supplying pre-packed boxes for Mount Vernon elementary students.

Each family was offered a large box of kid-friendly food to take home and a grocery store gift card. We also provided a light dinner for everyone!

If you're reading this on Thursday, our clothing closet is open until 6:30pm. It's open until 3:30pm on other weekdays. All clothing is free... you just need to sign out with your Neighbor Number.

Today's FREE kid-friendly summer movie is Zootopia 2, starting at 1pm! No registration required, just come on in!
