It may look like a safe place for your baby, but it isn’t!

Baby loungers and other padded products may look cozy and comfortable, but they are not safe places for infants to sleep. Soft padding can create a serious risk if a baby’s face presses against the surface or if they move into a position that makes it harder to breathe. Infants should sleep on a firm, flat surface with only a fitted sheet.

Products NOT recommended for sleeping:
❌ DockATot
❌ Boppy Newborn Lounger

Just because a product is popular, comfortable, or designed for babies doesn’t mean it is safe for sleep. Always check how and when a baby product is meant to be used.

Please read, save, and share to help make sure other families see this important safety risk. Report any incidents involving injury or product defect(s) to CPSC at www.SaferProducts.gov.

Similar products will be included in our August recall digest at the link in our bio or through the link below⬇️⬇️⬇️

Marsha Gayle Cooper - March 13, 1948 to August 24, 2026

I am heartbroken to announce the death of Marsha Cooper on August 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Marsha became an active with SIDS of Illinois, Inc. after the death of her granddaughter, Rivian. She joined the Board of Directors and was the grandparent peer support person for Illinois. Years later, she was elected President of the Board and was most recently the Immediate Past-President. She was a valued member of SIDS of Illinois, Inc. She was kind, compassionate, and generous with her time. She served on nearly every committee and took an active role. You could always count on her.

Marsha was an amazing woman whom many of us aspire to be. Several board members and myself would often say, “I need to channel my inner Marsha” when there was a tough decision to be made.

Marsha was my friend for over 25 years, and I will miss her dearly.

Please see the attached obituary. Feel free to contact me, [email protected] if you have any questions. The service will be livestreamed and you can find the sign up link in the obituary.

Just because it’s popular doesn’t mean it’s safe for sleep.

It’s easy to fill your registry with products recommended by influencers, advertisements, and baby stores. But when it comes to safe sleep, simplicity saves lives. Learn which registry items are worth adding to help support a safe sleep environment and which products to skip to help reduce your baby’s risk of SIDS and other sleep-related infant deaths.

Please read, share, and save if you’re expecting or know someone who is. Click the link in our bio for the full article or below⬇️⬇️⬇️
