We cleaned up the brook today ahead of the fishing derby on the 16th. Been a while since whitewalls have been in favor! The Heiniken was found, not consumed! And that construction fabric has caught it's last lure!

Itโ€™s that time of year, time for the Route 3A trash cleanup. We do this 2x a years and pick up about 15 bags of trash each time!

Someone ran over the fence at Mooreโ€™s Falls, causing significant damage. We believe that this happened yesterday or today (Sunday, March 1st). If you were there recently and saw anything that gives us an indication on timing or those involved, please let us know (comment, email, message, etc). Anything helps!!

The Litchfield Conservation Commission held their 2nd Annual Ice Fishing Derby today. It was a great day. Over 200 people hit the ice. Check out the stats in the video.

Are you or your kids interested in fishing? Well, the Conservation Commission is going to be holding a โ€œLetโ€™s Go Fishingโ€ class on Saturday 1/31 at the cozy-warm community room at the Fire Station.

This class comes a few weeks ahead of our ice fishing derby. During the class, you will learn the ins-and-outs of fishing from our schooled anglers. Itโ€™s a good time and all you need to do is show up!!
