Busy evening for our Litchfield duty crew responding to assist the police with a welfare check at 10pm followed by mutual aid to Bedford at 1am for a 2nd alarm building fire on Ministrial Road. The Litchfield station was covered by the on call staff until they returned.

Busy afternoon for our first responders who handled two separate motor vehicle accidents two hours apart. The first accident at Charles Bancroft Hwy @ Watts Landing required multiple ambulances from Hudson with three people transported to local hospitals for minor injuries. The second accident at Charles Bancroft Hwy @ Mel’s Funway park initially had two ambulances dispatched due to initial information received from E911. Upon arrival of Litchfield personnel, and evaluations conducted of both parties, it was determined to be minor injuries with both refusing transport.
Great job by Litchfield Fire, Police and Hudson ambulance crews.

Litchfield Engine 2 is assisting Londonderry with a situation at Planet Fitness on Orchard View Drive due to reports of smoke in the building. Multiple other communities are providing mutual aid and are on scene.

We are saddened to hear about the tragic news of the passing of Boston Firefighter Robert Kilduff, Jr of Rescue company 2. Firefighter Kilduff passed away battling a 3-alarm fire last night. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the Boston Fire Department.

Litchfield Engine 1, Litchfield C1, Hudson Engine 2 and Hudson 01 responded to a home on Mayflower Drive for smoke in the building. Upon arrival and investigation no smoke or fire was found, heavy odor of electrical was found in the basement. The problem was isolated to a central ac unit malfunction. The unit caused electrical damage to multiple breakers on the service panel requiring the main breaker to the home to be shut off and an electrician as well as the Town Building Inspector to be notified.
Thank you to the Hudson companies for their assistance while Litchfield and other towns are working at a 4th alarm brush fire in Londonderry.

Litchfield Engine 2 is currently enroute to Londonderry Central Station for coverage. Londonderry and surrounding towns are at a 2nd alarm brush fire on Gerry Lane.
