NOTICE OF ELECTION
The City of Litchfield will have three City Council Member seats and one Mayor seat on the ballot for the November 2026 Election.

Residents interested in running for one of these positions may obtain nominating petitions from the City Clerk's Office at 221 Jonesville Street. For more information, please contact the City office at 517-542-2921.

Completed nominating petitions must be filed with the City Clerk's Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Serving as an elected official is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on our community. We encourage anyone interested in public service to consider running for office.

As we prepare for Yard Sale Weekend, this is a friendly reminder to all City of Litchfield residents that Curbside Clean-Up Day will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Please place all acceptable items at the curb no later than the morning of June 13 to ensure they are collected. Thank you for helping keep Litchfield clean!

NOW HIRING!
The City of Litchfield is currently accepting applications for Deputy Superintendent position in the Department of Public Works. This position is under the direction of the Public Works Superintendent. Five years’ experience and Water and Sewer certifications are required. Salary will depend on qualifications.

Applications will be accepted until 5pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Applications can be dropped off at the city office 9am - 5pm or in the drop box on the back of the building outside of working hours at 221 Jonesville St., Litchfield, MI 49252.
