We must take action to address the housing crisis π
Yesterday, I stood with my colleagues to advocate for legislation that would cut red tape, protect renters from private equity firms, and help build new housing units. This included...
πππ§πππ ππ’π₯π₯ ππππ - Legislation I introduced to cut red tape and make it easier for families to update and clear up "tangled" property titles, so heirs can more easily claim legal ownership of homes passed down to them.
πππ§πππ ππ’π₯π₯ πππ - Legislation to protect residents in manufactured home (mobile home) communities from unjustified lot rent and fee increases, especially from private equity companies.
πππ§πππ ππ’π₯π₯ πππ - Legislation to remove the cap on housing projects currently in the Redevelopment Assistance Capital
Program (RACP) law, allowing the program to better support the housing needs of Pennsylvania and make progress on closing our housing unit gap.
I encourage Pennsylvania Senate leadership to bring these items up for a vote as soon as possible. We must act swiftly to provide relief for people struggling to afford stable housing.
