Hard work and dedication continue to pay off, please join us in congratulating Matt B. on his promotion to Lieutenant.

With 16 years at Little Chute Fire Department, Matt has consistently shown he’s willing to put in the effort, learn, and step up when it counts. This next step is a natural progression and a well-earned opportunity to lead.

We’re confident he’ll carry the same work ethic and commitment into his new role.

Over the past 20 years, Rob has been a steady presence on the department, bringing experience, accountability, and a team-first mindset to every meeting, drill and beyond. He’s earned this opportunity through years of hard work and dedication to both the department and the people around him.

Stepping into the role of Captain is no small task, but it’s one he’s more than ready for.

A big congratulations goes out to Rob E. on his promotion to Assistant Chief.

Starting as a firefighter and working his way through the ranks over 24 years, Rob has put in the time, effort, and leadership it takes to reach this point. As a Captain, he set the tone for his crews, and we have no doubt he’ll continue to do the same in this new role.

We’re looking forward to his continued leadership and vision helping guide the department forward.

Well done, Assistant Chief Rob E.

Please join us in congratulating Firefighter Pete Hietpas on being awarded the Jeff Hendricks Memorial Firefighter of the Year Award for 2025!

Pete has been an integral part of the Little Chute Fire Department for the past 16 years. As a dedicated Driver/Operator, he plays a vital role in our day-to-day operations and response readiness. He has served on numerous committees and is one of the key members managing our IamResponding system, helping keep our department organized and connected.

Pete is always among the first to step up, whether it’s responding to calls, volunteering for parades, or supporting events throughout the village and department. His commitment, reliability, and pride in serving the Village of Little Chute truly set him apart.

This award carries special meaning, as it is named in memory of Jeff Hendricks, a beloved member of our department who embodied what it truly meant to be a volunteer firefighter. Pete continues this legacy through his actions, attitude, and service each and every day. (Pictured: Darlene Hendricks with Firefighter Pete Hietpas).

Congratulations, Pete, and thank you for your continued dedication to LCFD! 🚒👏

On April 7, 2026, at 8:12 PM, the Little Chute Fire Department was dispatched to the 12xx block of Garfield Ave in the Village of Little Chute for a reported structure fire. Initial reports indicated smoke and flames coming from a medication storage room.

Upon arrival, crews checked for extension and confirmed the fire was contained to that single room. The sprinkler system activated and played a key role in helping quickly extinguish the fire prior to crews checking and completing suppression.

Firefighters ventilated the building and ensured the scene was safe.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and damage estimates are unknown at this time.

Thank you to Fox Valley Metro Police Department and Gold Cross Ambulance for their assistance.
