Mutual Aid Tanker to Tiverton Barn Fire

Early this morning, Little Compton Fire Department’s Tanker 1 was requested for mutual aid to the town of Tiverton for a barn fire. We would like to thank Bristol’s Engine 4 for covering our engine.

Mutual Aid Tanker Sent to Westport MA Structure Fire

Companies from Westport, Dartmouth, Fall River, Tiverton and Little Compton spent the morning of Sunday, June 14th fighting a structure fire on a single-story residence near the Westport-Fall River line. All occupants were able to make it out of the structure safely.

This morning members of our department hosted a department breakfast in honor of Chief Petrin as we continue to recognize Chief Petrin's 50yrs of service.

The Rhode Island Blood Center will be switching over to a new digital medical form starting 6/15, please be patient as the process may be slower while getting used to the new system.

On behalf of the men and women of the LCFD we would like to take the time to Congratulate our Chief Richard Petrin on an incredible 50 years of dedicated service in the Fire Service. On this date, June 7th, 1976 the Chief started his fire service career joining the Albion Fire Department in Lincoln as a junior Firefighter. From there, Chief rose through the ranks in Albion to Captain and ultimately became Chief of Department in March of 2004. Then in May of 2010 Chief Petrin became Chief of Little Compton Fire were he remains today. We are extremely proud to work for a great leader who always puts his guys first and is always there when we need him. Thank you for everything you do Chief and congratulations on an incredible milestone!

Today, some of our members along with many East Bay Fire Departments and Fire Departments from across the country traveled to Boston to pay our respects to FF. Robert Kilduff Jr, a 24+yr veteran of the Boston Fire Department who died in the line of duty last week while operating at the scene of a structure fire. Our thoughts remain with our brothers and sisters of the Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF and the family and friends of FF. Robert Kilduff Jr.
