We’re excited to announce that we’re kicking off our 2025 Cancer Awareness Shirts!

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

This year will look a little different for us. In the past, you’ve seen both pink and purple shirts from LEFFA. We know how much the pink shirts have meant to so many in our community and to our firefighters. However, in 2025 we’ll be putting all of our efforts into Purple Shirts.

These shirts carry a very special meaning for our Little Elm Firefighter family and our Little Elm community. As always, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Dr. Ashley Britton Glover Scholarship Fund, continuing Ashley’s vision and passion for education.

Our mission remains the same:
💜 Raise awareness
💜 Support students through scholarships
💜 Honor Dr. Ashley B. Glover’s legacy

We invite you to support this cause and share it with friends and family. Our hope is to see Little Elm come together once again in a sea of purple this November. We know our community will show up strong, just as it always does.

As firefighters, our mission is simple: protect lives and property. To do that, we need enough trained personnel, safe equipment, and reliable funding. This bill takes away the flexibility cities need to pay for those essentials.

If funding is capped, departments will face tough choices—fewer firefighters on shift, longer response times, and reduced service when our communities need us most. Public safety isn’t something you can cut without consequences. That’s why we stand against this bill. Texans deserve a fire department that’s ready when the alarm sounds.

The Texas State Association of Firefighters is opposing a bill that would lower tax rates, fearing that it would also lower the funding fire departments get from local governments.

TSAFF is alerting Texas legislators of the unintended consequences of SB 10, the pending property tax reform bill. As the attached letter delivered today to Chairman Morgan Meyer and members of the House Ways and Means Committee explains, SB 10, as proposed, does not provide protections for public safety funding.

CALL TO ACTION: Texas firefighters and friends… Please urge your city council members, mayors and commissioners to stand up to protect funding of their fire/EMS and police departments today. Their calls and face-to-face meetings with state representatives and senators can influence a solution — a legislative carve out or exception to public safety funding.
