Thank you to Lt. Maxie of the Little Elm Police Department for coming to storytime and reading to the kids for the past 2 weeks! We asked safety questions and learned a lot about being a police officer. And the kids even got a surprise to take home at the end of storytime!
There is less than 1 week left to submit your entries for our Decorating Contest! Ages 0-8 can pick up a gingerbread person outline and ages 9-18 can get a sweater outline. Color, paint, draw, sticker or whatever you want to do to decorate your outline then turn it in to the front desk. Winners from each age group will receive 1 gingerbread house kit!

Some of you may have already noticed but we are expanding our video game collection! We have various games to checkout available for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 4, and XBOX. Checkouts are for the standard 3 weeks.
Wii accessories are still only available for in house use checkouts. At this time we only have video games for checkout, no consoles.
Got any suggestions? Let us know if we're missing something you'd like to play from the above 4 consoles (don't forget some have crossplay across newer generations) or have been interested in trying out. Items are going fast so stop by soon! 🕹🕹🕹

Thank you to the Little Elm Fire Department for sending over some firefighter friends today! They read us a Thanksgiving story, answered some firefighter questions, and even let us look at one of their fire trucks and all the gear they use on their job. We really appreciate you stopping by!

Our Special Craft Time: Dino Excavation starts in about 1 hour! come paint your very own dino egg and practice your beginner paleontology skills. Look for the different dino fossils you can find in our bins!

Yesterday our Sweet Treats class made some sweeeet dishes based around the holidays of this time of year including Diwali, Halloween, and Dia de los Mu***os. The dishes we made are Mexican Hot Chocolate, Cucumber Raita, and Sour Patch Grapes. Yummy!

Tomorrow is when the registration link for next Saturday's Kids Sweet Treats with Twist3d Cuisine cooking class activates! Spots are limited so be online and ready if you want to reserve your child or children's spots. Remember, only register for the child (6-12 years) that will be participating. Adults do not need to register themselves.

Don't forget our extended craft time starts in about 2 hours! We have different crafts available for different age groups so stop on by when you have a chance! Craft time will run from 2PM-5PM.
Adults please remember this is not a drop off event so anyone under 13 years of age MUST have a parent or caregiver present at all times per library policy.

Thank you to Keka Novales, author of the Hola Lola! series for stopping by today. She talked about her books, growing up in Guatemala, and her move to the United States. There were also come cool bookmarks, coloring pages and candy to be had! We look forward to her visiting again.

September's Teen Comic and Manga Workshop was SO much fun! I had a blast talking comics and manga with y'all and spending a few hours drawing up a storm. For those who missed it, here's a digital copy of the mini-zine with all of our work.
If you'd like to pick up a physical copy, come by the library. We have extras at the front desk and in the teen room.
