The Assembly voted on 1-13-20 and passed A-3890 37 to 2 sponsored by Senator Vin Gopal regarding vehicle penalty points for the 3rd violation of the Move Over Law! The Police Officers Brotherhood wants to congratulate our brother and Gold Life Member Wayne Blanchard, STFA President for his hard work and due diligent in getting this legislation sponsored and moved through the Senate & Assembly on behalf of his membership, All Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders and especially Donna Setaro, mother of State Trooper Marc Castellano who was struck and killed on RT-195 Howell, NJ back in June 2010.
Donna has made a life-changing commitment bringing awareness to the Move Over Law through her MARC Program sponsored and funded by the Police Officers Brotherhood throughout New Jersey as well as the Nation. We would also like to thank Daniel Vehccio, State Trooper, and Chairman of the POB’s Drive Safty Committee for your commitment to helping Donna and the MARC Program on behalf of the Police Officers Brotherhood. Donna has made 1,040 Move Over Law MARC presentations and spoken to over 115,000 individuals to educate them about the Law in an attempt to prevent this from happening in the future as well as saving lives.
God bless and GREAT JOB getting this legislation passed, and now it is off to the Governor’s desk for his signature to hopefully make it the LAW! Special thanks to the legislative sponsors Senator Vin Gopal, Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling & Assemblywoman Joann Downey. Go to www.njlepob.com Move Over Law Tab to learn more about the MARC Program and how you can help by donating so Donna can continue to educate the public in order to prevent these tragedies from happening again to save lives!

The POB is committed to saving lives while funding and coordinating this Drive Safety Campaign but we need your help to spread the word in order to educate the public. We print literature, MOL cards, stickers and MOL brochures, in order to raise funds so that Donna can volunteer her time to make presentations throughout the state with no cost to the schools. Help us spread the word by attending our event, and sharing this information with friends and family so that you can support M.A.R.C. and our safety driving campaign. Anything that you can do to help us is deeply appreciated.

Representatives Jerry Conan & Michael Sica from the Police Officer’s Brotherhood were invited, proud to attend and support Danny, George and Steve by bringing to the forefront an issue that was taboo to talk about in the past!

Blue Magazine Publisher Daniel Del Valle, George Beck Editor & Chief partnered with Steve Olimpio, President of Moment of Silence held a gathering to discuss Blue Su***de on August 1st, 2019 at the Village Inn in Wayne, NJ. In attendance were law enforcement professionals, mental health providers and members of the business community who came together to bring awareness and share their views on this sensitive issue.

Sica Said “It’s time for officers to realize speaking out and asking for help is not a sign of weakness!” It’s time to educate the public to understand that we are human too, we have feelings and sometimes we make mistakes. As law enforcement officer we are always expect to be strong, hold down the fort or get the situation under control and 9 times out of 10 our brothers and sisters in blue do just that. But how do they cope with what happens on the job and in their personal lives vary from officer to officer. “What is most important is that the POB is here to help them through the thick and thin, they are not alone and we have your back because we are our brothers/sisters keeper”! Together we can make the thin blue line stronger.

I hope that you’re enjoying the summer? I'm proud to say that we have raised over $150,000 to help law enforcement causes and with your help we hope to bring that number to $200,000. This can be accomplished by making a donation, becoming a sponsor, advertising your business with an AD or simply purchasing tickets to our 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗵. 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵, 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗡𝗝. The committee has structured several differently levels to accommodate all of our supporters. Please see flyer enclosed detailing each package and be advised the Gold & Silver VIP packages have limited seating therefore please purchase these packages in advance.

This event is of the utmost importance to us because we were unable to have our Spring Fundraising Event this year which has put us behind of our fundraising goals.
The POB is proud to announce its first Annual VIP Summer Bash Picnic, Pool Party & Cigar Smoke Out to support charitable law enforcement causes. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our past sponsors, supporters, and attendees for their generosity, without you this would not be possible!

Please see the attached flyer on how you can help. Most importantly visit our website www.njlepob.com and read about all our program services and charitable endeavors, past recipients and their cause, undoubtedly they all are worthy of our help to raise the necessary funds to make this event a success.

Over the years the POB has given generous donations to law enforcement causes, with the help of Wayne Blanchard, who has been a great advocate for our organization. Our event would not be possible without your help and financial support. We truly appreciate your support and thank you for having our backs as we help the law enforcement community throughout this State & the Nation!

On behalf of our Executive Board and the entire Law Enforcement membership, we want to thank you for your continued support.

If you have any questions regarding this event you can respond by email at [email protected], call the office headquarters number 973-256-7390 or Jerry at 973-380-3730.
Sincerely yours,
