A BIG thank you to Magnifi Financial! 💙

Last Monday, the amazing team from Magnifi Financial spent part of CU Forward Day giving back right here at Oasis Central Minnesota!

CU Forward Day is a statewide tradition that brings credit union employees together to serve their local communities through volunteering, donations, and acts of kindness. Today, the initiative is also known as CU Kind Day, but Minnesota credit unions can continue using the CU Forward Day name.

Not only did the Magnifi team generously donate their time to help Oasis, they also donated 40 nights of shelter for individuals in our community experiencing homelessness. 🏠💙

That means 40 nights where someone has a safe place to stay, rest, and take the next step toward stability.

❤️ Thank You for Making Picnic Pals Possible ❤️

As we wrap up our Picnic Pals Community Partner Spotlight Series, we want to take one final moment to express our gratitude to everyone who helped make this year's program a success.

Because of the generosity of our funding sponsors, including I.C.E. Fest Pay It Forward Foundation, Exchange Club, Sprout, Second Harvest Heartland, Initiative Foundation, Enterprise CP, Coborn's Little Falls, and The Art of Conversation, local children and families received additional food support throughout the summer.

This year, Picnic Pals distributed:

• 297 bags serving approximately 900 people in June
• 343 bags serving approximately 756 people in July
• 240 bags serving approximately 738 people in August

In total, the program distributed 880 bags and served approximately 2,394 people throughout the summer.

We are also deeply grateful to our church partners, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Community Covenant, St. John's Catholic Church, First United, First Lutheran, Bethel Lutheran, Randall Presbyterian, Gethsemane, and Grace Covenant Church. Your partnership helped strengthen a community-wide effort to ensure families felt supported and cared for.

To our volunteers, staff, community supporters, and participating families: thank you. Every act of kindness, every hour volunteered, every donation made, and every encouraging conversation helped make Picnic Pals possible.

This series has celebrated individual partners, but the real story is what happens when an entire community comes together. Picnic Pals is more than a food program. It is a reminder that when neighbors care for neighbors, children and families thrive.

We are honored to serve alongside so many people who believe in compassion, dignity, and community. Thank you for helping make a difference this summer.

Oasis Central Minnesota sends a heartfelt thank-you to Grace Covenant Church for helping make our Picnic Pals program possible this year.

Summer food support is a community effort. It depends on people who recognize the importance of helping families and who are willing to work together to meet local needs. The support of Grace Covenant Church added strength to that effort.

We appreciate their partnership and the care it represents. By joining with Oasis and other community partners, Grace Covenant Church helped demonstrate that families do not have to face challenges alone. There are neighbors, congregations, organizations, and volunteers ready to stand beside them.

That shared commitment is at the heart of Picnic Pals. It allows the program to be more than food support. It becomes a reminder that our community is connected and that every act of generosity matters.

Their willingness to partner with us reflects the compassion and community spirit that make local programs stronger. Through the combined support of churches, funders, volunteers, and neighbors, Picnic Pals became a practical expression of one community caring for another.

We are grateful for every congregation that stepped forward to help. Each one strengthened our reach, encouraged our team, and helped create a program rooted in dignity, kindness, and connection.
