Yesterday was “Chief for a Day” event throughout Bergen County. The LFPD welcomed Chief Alex Bradley, who is a 6th grade student at Memorial School and is currently and courageously battling leukemia.
Chief Bradley was escorted to work by Chief Walters, Captain Klein and many officers of LFPD's Finest. Along the way, we made a brief stop at the school where he was greeted and saluted by the entire 6th grade class, then onto borough hall where he was greeted and saluted by our borough hall staff along with our officers. Chief also had a visit from K9 Phoenyx and Sergeant Nichols from Maywood PD. Chief Bradley was then sworn in by Mayor Mauro Raguseo and Police Commissioner Councilman Ron Anzalone and began work immediately.
1st order of business was roll call for the AM squad, as the Officers were given their assignments, next was breakfast, bacon, egg & cheese along with a chocolate milk…
Chief Bradley was provided a tour of Police HQ, operated our police drone and had a few important papers to sign before heading to the Bergen County Courthouse to meet and greet the other Chiefs for a Day. All the Chiefs were then escorted to Englewood (space odyssey), where we presented our Chief with a plaque and some gifts. We hope that Chief Bradley
