Thank you to everyone who showed up with heart and purpose for our Canvassing Day in Little Haiti! 🏠

On June 10th, partnered with , a leadership and college readiness program. Over 25 individuals engaged in canvassing a residential neighborhood in Little Haiti.

From door-to-door outreach to real conversations with residents, we shared updates on everything from our Home Rehabilitation Program to the Small Business Grant Program, Board Meeting Announcements, Down Payment Assistance, and more.

We’re committed to keeping our community informed and empowered—because when we know what’s available, we allrise together.

Today, we honor the profound legacy of freedom, resilience, and Black excellence that Juneteenth represents.

As we reflect on the past, we also recommit ourselves to building a future that uplifts our people, celebrates our culture, and supports the ongoing fight for justice and equity. Our work in Little Haiti is a living tribute to that mission.

Live in the City of Miami and want to make a difference this summer? The City of Miami and The Miami Foundation are looking for volunteers to host real-time heat monitors at home to better understand how extreme heat affects our neighborhoods.

📍June 10th Meeting Recap – Little Haiti Revitalization Trust

At our recent meeting, we explored two major initiatives shaping the future of Little Haiti:

🏗️ Magasi Management’s Lemon City/Gwen Cherry Presentation
A transformative $300 million redevelopment project was unveiled, focused on expanding affordable and workforce housing across two sites. The plan includes modern amenities, essential community services, and a one-for-one unit replacement to ensure current residents are not displaced.

🚉 City of Miami Planning Department – TOD Program
The Planning Department introduced the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) program, designed to foster dense, walkable communities near transit hubs. The initiative offers increased building heights and density in exchange for commitments to affordable housing and community benefits.
These developments reflect a shared commitment to inclusive growth and preserving the heart of Little Haiti.
