Many residents in the LRA community have been inquiring about how they can help with donations for the hill country floods. We have teamed up with Rogers Volunteer Fire Department. As of this morning we have learned that our brothers and sisters with the Ingram Volunteer Fire Department are in need of the following items. These items can be dropped off to the Little River Academy Fire Dept at 509 East Main St in Little River Academy, TX, PH # 254-982-1120. When we have a truck load of supply’s we will arrange to deliver them to Ingram to the Fire Department.

Ingrams volunteers are working hard in the heat and need your support! They’re currently in need of the following items to help keep their responders safe, alert, and fueled in the field:

• Traffic Cones
• Insect Repellent
• Sunscreen
• Aloe for Sunburns
• Pocket-Sized Snacks for Responders,
such as:
• Jerky Sticks
• Clif Bars
• Protein Bars
• Liquid IV Hydration Packets
• 55 Gallon trash bags

Flags are out for Flag Day! With the help from one of our volunteer firefighters and 2 of his sons the flags were put out yesterday. Keeping these flags in good standings takes donations to keep them flying on holidays! Not to mention the time and effort that goes into changing out torn flags, keeping poles together, and storage of the flags when not in use. We ask the the public to keep an eye out for anyone stealing or destroying these flags in town! We have had some flags/poles and ground holders stolen. Once again replacing these takes money and if it keep happening we will be forced to stop putting the flags out.

The Little River-Academy Fire Department would like to thank the Academy SPJST Lodge #177 for their generous donation. The department used the donation to assist in the purchase of a Defibtech Lifeline used in CPR emergencies. This machine provides automated chest compressions, relieving EMS personnel to assist in other needed tasks. Thanks again to SPJST Lodge #177 for their continued support of the Little River-Academy Fire Department.

Each year, Anheuser-Busch pauses beer production to produce clean drinking water, and in partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council, ensures structural & wildland firefighters have the critical hydration they need during extreme heat.
We’re proud to announce that we are one of the departments receiving this donation in 2025 to help keep our firefighters hydrated during wildfires and extended responses. A big thank you to Jack Hilliard Distributing Temple, TX for delivering the water to our station!
