🌟 Employee Spotlight: Tonya Riggins

Meet Tonya Riggins, a dedicated North Strand Driver/Aide who has been serving HCCOA for 3 years!

Tonya supports her senior center in many ways—assisting with daily activities and events while also providing transportation to help seniors stay connected and involved.

💙 She loves engaging with seniors and hearing their stories, building meaningful connections along the way.

🚌 Tonya enjoys helping seniors get out of the house and to the center, giving them opportunities to stay active and social.

Known for always stepping in to help with events and activities, Tonya is a constant, caring presence for both staff and seniors.

🧶 Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Are you planning to enjoy one of our region's beautiful waterways this Fourth of July? 🇺🇸

Always remember that safety comes first! The handbook of South Carolina Boating Laws and Responsibilities is available online athttps://assets.kalkomey.com/boater/pdfs/handbook/southcarolina-handbook-entire.pdf for anyone who may need a "refresher" before you set sail! (When we say refresher, we do not mean a cold one in your hand!😎) South Carolina law prohibits anyone from operating a moving motorized vessel or vessel under sail on the waters of the state while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or a combination thereof. 👩‍⚖️

Enjoy the holiday and stay safe out there!
