While Arika didn’t play due to an injury, we are incredibly proud of her as she represented Little River Volleyball in the KVA All-Star game. A very prestigious honor to play in this event. Congratulations Arika and thank you for 4 awesome years!

The 2026 KSHSAA State Track & Field Championships produced an incredible 39 state meet records, not including wheelchair events.

From sprint records by Maria Portela, Rylee Meyer and Ashley Lehman to field event performances by William Bishop, Jack Herd and Bronwyn Lewis, athletes across Kansas delivered one of the most historic state meets in recent memory.

Special thanks to Carol Swenson for compiling the records and our performance lists this season exclusively for Sports in Kansas.

Marion coach Shaun Craft taking athletic director job for Little River Athletics.

We are proud to announce the hiring of Shaun Craft, as our new athletic director and middle school Social Studies teacher. Please give him a warm Redskin welcome.

Shaun Craft has been a teacher and coach for 22 years, with 21 of those years being at his alma mater, Marion Middle and High School. During his career, Shaun has been a football coach for 22 years, with 8 of those as head coach, and 17 years coaching track, including head coach this past season. Shaun attended Tabor College and was on the football and track teams. He continued his education at KU and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education. Shaun will be getting married this week to Little River alum and WES staff member, Ashley Gretencord, and together they have six children. Shaun will serve as Athletic Director and teach middle school social studies for USD 444.
