This position requires on-site work.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED required.
2-3 years prior banking, loan assistant, or mortgage experience required.
Experience with TRID or ATR regulatory requirements preferred.
Upon hire, NMLS will be required.
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10-key, and internet navigation required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist customers with mortgage inquiries and provide expert guidance throughout the loan process from application to closing.
Discuss loan terms, rates, conditions, and closing requirements in a clear and customer-friendly manner (NMLS license will be required).
Promote bank products and services when appropriate.
Collect and review borrower documentation, including income, credit, assets, and employment.
Pull credit reports and analyze creditworthiness, debt-to-income ratios, and other financial information.
Prepare pre-qualification and pre-approval determinations in accordance with bank and regulatory guidelines.
Review real estate contracts and gather supporting documentation for TRID and ATR purposes.
Prepare and maintain accurate, compliant loan files in accordance with bank regulations and internal policies.
Prepare required underwriting materials.
Order and track third-party services.
Coordinate with processors, underwriters, title companies, and closing agents to ensure timely workflow.
Prepare preliminary Closing Disclosures (CDs) and assist customers with closing requirements.
Coordinate the closing, booking, and funding of loans in accordance with bank procedures.
After closing, scan final loan documents.
Ensure all loan applications are fully completed and compliant before submission.
Ensure all activities adhere to banking regulations and internal compliance standards.
Protect all customer information and bank operations through strict confidentiality.
Operate computer software and equipment, telephone, scanner, and copier, and develop proficiency with internal banking systems.
Maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and punctual attendance. This position requires occasional extended hours to meet customer needs for business travel purposes, using a personal vehicle.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process a variety of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cash advances, cashier's checks, and cashing checks while following all identification and retail policies and procedures.
Verify checks, identify counterfeit currency, and review all transactions for accuracy.
Identify fraudulent transactions and review concerns with management; become well-informed on new suspicious activities.
Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Suspicious Activity, Identity Theft, and Red Flag (SIRF) as needed. Report any suspicious or fraudulent activity to the Bank Secrecy Act Officer.
Maintain and balance cash drawers, process vault currency, process proof work accordingly, manage coin and currency supplies, and assist with night, mail, and ATM deposits; balance the ATM and main vault as needed.
Inform management of any problems, concerns, or outages. Assist with research and help resolve discrepancies.
Complete special requests such as redeeming savings bonds, managing safe-deposit box access, and providing account printouts, research, copies, and referrals.
Maintain security through proper opening/closing and vault procedures.
Promote bank products, refer customers when necessary, and provide support to internal staff and management. Deliver quality service, respond to in-person and telephone inquiries, assist with unusual transactions, and address complex customer questions.
Protect all customer information and bank operations through strict confidentiality.
Operate computer software and equipment, telephone, scanner, and copier, and develop proficiency with internal banking systems.
Maintain reliable transportation, punctual attendance, and the ability to work on-site with occasional extended hours when necessary.

Respond to routine employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and payroll timelines; escalate complex issues as needed.
Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
Administer employee benefit programs by processing enrollments, terminations, status changes, qualifying life events, disclosures, and leave-related benefits while ensuring employee eligibility and regulatory compliance.
