The day started with a panel of judges speaking about how they handle health insurance plans in their respective counties, and attendees heard a presentation from Senior Worker's Comp Claims Administrator Misty Petrus about how to prevent injuries. At the 2026 AAC Annual Conference luncheon, Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery was named this year's recipient of the Wes Fowler Advocacy Award. During the award ceremony, AAC Board President Debbie Wise and AAC Executive Director Chris Villines commended Montgomery for his work over the years to improve his county and the entire state.

Brown was elected county judge in 2022. Prior to her tenure as county judge, she spent 16 years working in the county judge's office and had 12 years of experience in the White County District Court.
