🚨Cattle reported stolen in Little River County🚨

The following were reported stolen to Arkansas Department of Agriculture Special Agents:

1 Longhorn pair - horns are cut back on the cow, cow is approximately 2 years old, calf (heifer) is weaning age
2 Hereford yearling heifers (dehorned)
1 Black/white Corriente cross yearling heifer with horns cut back

A witness observed an older white model Dodge ¾ ton extended cab, long wheel-base truck pulling an approximately 24-foot rusty red gooseneck trailer leaving the scene. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call 1-800-468-8834 or 501-219-6365.

Today U.S. Department of Agriculture AgDiscovery program students being hosted by UAPB - School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences visited the Arkansas Department of Agriculture to hear from division directors, tour the chemistry and veterinarian labs, and learn about the various career opportunities within the Department and agricultural industry.

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture Law Enforcement Section has expanded its ability to investigate agricultural crimes in Arkansas. Common investigations include wildfire arson, timber theft, livestock theft, equipment theft, and foreign ownership of agricultural land. Kenneth Booth was recently sworn in as a special agent for the Department and his experience and expertise were integral in recent investigations.
