Harrell Wilson won the 2026 Republican Special Primary Election for Arkansas State Senate District 1, the seat vacated by former Senator Ben Gilmore.

Wilson will face Democratic nominee Tomeka Butler in the special election on November 3.

Rison Pharmacy is proud to support Harrell Wilson for State Senate. We know he will be a strong support for rural healthcare, small business, and for pharmacy in Arkansas. He will be a voice for rural Southeast Arkansas, and he will work to ensure that Arkansas will continue to be a leader in PBM reform. Please remember to vote in the special election on or before August 18, 2026.

On 8-13-2026, Gammel’s Clinic Pharmacy had the pleasure of receiving a visit from Arkansas Senate, District 1 candidate, Harrell Wilson of Rison. He stopped by our Pharmacy to discuss Healthcare in Rural Arkansas. We touched on topics of: PBMs impact on patient care, our local partnership with Ashley County Medical Center and 340B and his personal history and roots in South Arkansas.

We always love to meet candidates on their personal journeys and to hear of their commitment to public service. It’s always encouraging to know that our elected officials are “one of us” and that they are willing to listen and fight for the causes that are most important to their constituents.
