One year ago today, the Arkansas’ Supreme Court ruled that the extreme Arkansas abortion amendment would NOT appear on the 2024 ballot.
We warned voters that this amendment would allow abortion up to the moment of birth, could force tax dollars to cover abortions, and would not require abortion facilities to be licensed by the state – risking the health of moms and babies. And those weren’t just talking points. As our What If? series shows, these warnings are becoming reality in states where extreme pro-abortion policies prevailed at the ballot box.
Thankfully, the Arkansas abortion amendment FAILED before it reached the ballot and we can celebrate another year with 0 reported abortions.
We are grateful for your efforts to defeat abortion extremism last year. Whether you declined to sign petitions, volunteered your time to educate voters, labored in prayer, or donated money to cover resources–your help made a difference!
There is still much work ahead, but today we are pausing to celebrate a victory: one year since the defeat of the Arkansas abortion amendment!
