Pulaski County Youth Services is excited to offer FREE ACT Prep Boot Camps this summer for students who want to strengthen their skills, boost their confidence, and improve their ACT performance before test day.

📅 Session 1: June 1–5, 2026
📅 Session 2: July 13–17, 2026
🕘 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Daily

Students will receive:
✅ Instruction in Math, English, Reading, and Science
✅ Proven ACT test-taking strategies
✅ Pre- and post-assessments to track progress
✅ Support from certified ACT instructors

🎓✨ From Little Scholars to UCA Bound ✨🎓

Pulaski County Youth Services would like to congratulate Trinity Walker on her next chapter as she prepares to attend the University of Central Arkansas to further her education! 💜🐻

Trinity first became a part of the PCYS family through our Little Scholars Audubon Program. From there, she continued to stay actively involved by attending countless programs, events, and opportunities offered through Youth Services. She later became a member of the Emerging Champions Youth Academy at Mills University Studies High School, where she continued to grow both academically and personally.

Throughout her journey, Trinity has consistently taken advantage of opportunities designed to help students succeed, and we are incredibly proud to watch her take this next step toward her future.

Congratulations, Trinity! Your PCYS family is cheering you on, and we cannot wait to see all that you accomplish at UCA! 💚

Pulaski County Youth Services had the pleasure of showing appreciation to the incredible teachers and staff at Mills University Studies High School by providing a Chick-fil-A breakfast! ❤️🐔

We understand the dedication, patience, and hard work that educators pour into students each and every day, and we wanted to take a moment to simply say THANK YOU. Your commitment to shaping future leaders does not go unnoticed.

From early mornings to late evenings, these educators continue to inspire, encourage, and support students both inside and outside of the classroom. PCYS is grateful for the partnership, and all that Mills University Studies High School does for youth in our community.

🥋✨ Empowered Through Martial Arts: Our Little Scholars Shine

Our Little Scholars have been having an amazing time learning from Mr. Gaston of Gaston’s Martial Arts! Through these special enhancement sessions, scholars are learning more than martial arts moves — they’re building confidence, discipline, focus, and respect along the way.

We are incredibly thankful to Mr. Gaston for taking the time to invest in, encourage, and inspire our scholars at Daisy Bates Elementary, Landmark Elementary, Harris Elementary, and Oak Grove Elementary. His sessions have created a fun, engaging, and empowering experience for students across our Little Scholars programs.

A special thank you to the TangerKids Grant for funding these enrichment opportunities for our scholars. Your investment helps provide meaningful experiences that encourage growth, confidence, and leadership in our youth! 💙

🎨✨ Paint, Create & Shine: Daisy Bates Scholars Bring Their Masterpieces to Life! ✨🎨

Little Scholars Daisy Bates had an unforgettable day filled with creativity and color as Ms. Porchia led a fun, hands-on art experience!

Each scholar received their own canvas, easel, and paint supplies, giving them the freedom to let their imaginations run wild and create one-of-a-kind masterpieces. From bold brushstrokes to unique designs, every piece reflected the creativity and personality of each young artist.

The room was bursting with color, laughter, and self-expression as our scholars proudly brought their visions to life. Moments like these are what inspire confidence, creativity, and a love for learning!

What a meaningful and inspiring day of art and imagination,! 🖌️💛

Pulaski County Youth Services was honored to celebrate alongside College Station Elementary as they officially broke ground on their new school building!

This milestone represents more than just construction — it represents growth, opportunity, and investment in future generations of students. It was inspiring to see students, staff, alumni, and community members come together to celebrate the school’s legacy while looking ahead to an exciting future.

The new College Station Elementary will provide a modern, safe, and student-centered environment that will continue serving and supporting scholars for years to come. We are proud to be a community partner and look forward to seeing this vision come to life as the new school prepares to open in Fall 2027.

Mission Forward: An Emerging Champion Answers the Call

Pulaski County Youth Services salutes Caleb Oraka for his incredible accomplishment! Caleb has been a dedicated member of our Emerging Champions Youth Academy at Mills University Studies High School since the program began, consistently showing strong leadership, determination, and personal growth.

We are excited to announce that Caleb has officially enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, where he will serve as a Combat Mechanic. This is a major milestone, and it brings us great pride to see the young man he has become.

Caleb’s commitment to serving his country while pursuing his future goals is truly inspiring. His hard work, discipline, and perseverance have set an amazing example for his peers and our community.

Little Scholars Harris had an amazing end-of-the-year field trip to the CALS Main Library! 📚🦋 Our scholars explored their creativity by designing beautiful butterfly collages and enjoyed spending time outside in the library’s courtyard. 🌿☀️ It was a fun and engaging afternoon filled with creativity, exploration, and great memories! 🎨✨
