Due to winter weather conditions, Crystal Fire Department (CFD) would like to remind everyone of the following safety information:
1. Use extreme caution while driving. If travel is necessary, be aware of icy roads, reduced visibility, and changing conditions. General rule is to stay home when possible.
2. Downed Trees Blocking the Road: This is generally accomplished by Pulaski County Road and Bridge. If CFD responds to a call for a tree blocking the roadway, crews will clear the tree enough to allow vehicle passage (typically one lane or the center of the road), generally only to respond to an emergency.
3. Trees on Power Lines: Trees entangled with power lines cannot be removed until the utility provider (Entergy) arrives and de-energizes or removes the lines.
4. Vehicles Marked with Yellow Caution Tape: Vehicles marked with yellow caution tape may be disabled in a ditch or left at the scene after an accident. These incidents have been cleared by CFD and are awaiting a tow truck.
5. Do Not Bypass Caution Tape: If you encounter yellow caution tape, do not attempt to drive around it. Please use an alternate route for your safety.
6. Non-Emergency Calls: For non-life-threatening incidents or questions, please contact Jacksonville Dispatch at 501-985-2802.
(Note: Dispatch services are no longer handled by Pulaski County Sheriff'sOffice.)

Your cooperation helps keep both the public and emergency responders safe. Stay warm and stay safe. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Congratulations goes out to Commissioner Mike Cornell and Commissioner Danny Harris for their reelection to our board of commissioners. We couldn't do what we do without the support of these two gentlemen and the other members of our board.
