PCSSD is partnering with the Academies of Central Arkansas and the Arkansas National Guard to connect students at each high school with more opportunities to enroll, enlist or be employed after graduation.

As part of the partnership, the Arkansas National Guard will:
🎓 Provide a Military Career Coach at each campus in the Academies of Central Arkansas network.
📚 Offer ASVAB testing and preparation to all 11th- and 12th-grade students.
🪖 Provide military pathway awareness programming highlighting educational benefits, leadership development and career opportunities.
🤝 Participate in the Academies Annual Career Expo, host tours of Camp Robinson and other partners, and coordinate Veterans Day and Military Recognition Day activities at each campus.

🎨The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA) recently announced “The AMFA Classroom,” a free education program launching at Sylvan Hills Elementary School and two other local schools during the 2026-2027 school year. AMFA also unveiled a new campaign, “More Than a Museum,” positioning the museum as a cultural destination for both locals and tourists and an economic driver for Arkansas. 📚

The Pulaski County Special School District and Academies of Central Arkansas Foundation announced the establishment of the Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield Academy of Business, Technology, and Community Impact at Joe T. Robinson High School and DRIVEN School of Opportunity on Thursday.

William Jefferson Clinton Elementary School had a wonderful celebration of its namesake, President Bill Clinton today!

He turned 80, and students wrote birthday cards that will be mailed to him, thanks to the Clinton Foundation, Clinton Presidential Center & Clinton School of Public Service, who also provided games, birthday treats and free admission to the Clinton Presidential Center to every student.
