We would love to see you in attendance at "Women in Cyber: Empowering Future Leaders," hosted by Arkansas Division of Higher Education. This event aims to raise 6-12th grade girls’ awareness of career opportunities in cybersecurity and tech for women. This event promises to be an inspiring and informative gathering featuring a keynote speaker, hands-on activities, and a dynamic discussion panel.

Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub, North Little Rock

Our 2024 application for the 4th annual Tjuana Byrd Internship Program is now open!

This is amazing paid summer internship opportunity for collegiate students identifying as a woman of color across the state of Arkansas majoring in STEAM fields. Since this program launched in 2021 over 60+ participants have had the opportunity to get real world experience in the field, attend professional development sessions and networking events. Some have even secured full-time jobs with participating companies after graduation!

Accepted applicants have the opportunity to stay in a fully furnished 4-person apartment completely FREE - provided by the Women's Foundation of Araknsas. Our participating companies are committed to paying a competitive wage of $15 - $20/hr (the exact amount depends on the company)!

These are the smiles that we work for. Our interns have been working hard all summer and it was so rewarding to see them get to relax and be celebrated last night!

Garver, WOW! Last night was a blast... literally. Who knew that combustion could be so fun?

We are so glad to have you as a sponsor company for the first year, and we hope to have you for many more. While we have our intern placed in the communications department this year it was great to hear Mary Fair talk about the engineering and aviation work that the company does. Who knew that there were almost 100 airports in our state?

Next up is CDI Contractors and their intern for this summer!

CDI prioritizes safety, communication, and quality. They are a national general contractor and construction management firm located right here in the heart of our state, as well as Fayetteville and Frisco, Texas. Their experience constructing high-profile and one-of-a-kind structures guarantees that customers can be confident in their promise of completions that are on time and within budget.

CDI - when we look at women in STEAM it seems like there is such a small number of them in construction. Thank you for providing hands on internship with the kind of hands-on experience that is needed to retain individuals in the field.

Last week we had such a great time at Acxiom's networking night. What a beautiful facility! Our interns had the opportunity to participate in a networking bingo game and hear from a panel of Acxiom women about their experience working at the company and the importance of building your personal brand.

Acxiom is a HUGE advocate and supporter of the entire Girls of Promise Initiative, and we are so thankful!

Also congratulations to Oluwakemi 'Kemi' Oshunkeye on her full-time employment, it was SO good to see you.
