Arkansas Boys State participants spent the day in the House Chamber getting a firsthand look at how state government works.

They debated bills, learned about the legislative process, and experienced what it's like to serve in a legislative body. It's always encouraging to see students from across Arkansas take an interest in public service and civic engagement.

We were glad to welcome them to the Capitol and look forward to seeing where their future leadership takes them.

The Arkansas House was proud to welcome participants of Arkansas Girls State to the House Chamber today for a mock legislative session.

Girls State is an immersive civics education program that has empowered young women across Arkansas since 1942, encouraging leadership and active involvement in government and their communities.

Today, students had the opportunity to step onto the House floor, debate legislation, and experience firsthand how the legislative process works. It’s always inspiring to see the next generation of Arkansas leaders learning, leading, and finding their voices at the Capitol.
