Honoring National Airborne Day! 🪂⭐

On August 16, 1940, the U.S. Army’s Parachute Test Platoon completed the first official Army parachute jump, beginning a legacy of courage and precision that continues to inspire. From the earliest test jumps to the historic operations of World War II and beyond, America’s paratroopers have shown unwavering dedication and bravery.
Today, ADVA proudly salutes all Airborne Soldiers past, present, and future.

August 14 is Navajo Code Talkers Day.

Today we honor the Native American Code Talkers whose courage and cultural strength helped protect Allied forces in the Pacific during World War II. Drawing from their own languages, these heroes created secure communications that carried critical messages across some of the toughest battles of the war. Their code was never broken, a powerful testament to their skill, dedication, and the living traditions of their Nations.
ADVA proudly recognizes these Veterans and the Native American communities whose heritage shaped one of the most remarkable achievements in military history. Today, we remember their service, honor their stories, and celebrate the legacy they continue to inspire.

Important message from the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System:
Beginning August 13 through September 11, VA will mail official “Choose VA” postcards to approximately 3.8 million Veterans who are not enrolled in VA health care. If you receive one, please do not throw it away. This is a legitimate VA communication designed to help Veterans understand their health care eligibility and how to enroll.
We encourage any Veteran who receives a postcard to take a moment to review the information and learn more about the benefits available to them. 🇺🇸
