Dr. Watson, Instructional Leader at Mills Middle School shared this note (see below) she received from a scholar at the end of our first week. She writes:
Team,
I received a note from one of our 6th-grade scholars, # # # #, today, and I wanted to share it with you because you have already made a difference in his life.
# # # # shared that "he was afraid at first, but now he loves his teachers and loves our school." ❤️
Think about that for a moment. We are only beginning this school year, and already, you are having an impact on the lives of our scholars. You are their champions. You have the power, influence, and opportunity to change the trajectory of a scholar’s life in a positive way.
Sometimes, we may not immediately see the impact of what we do each day. A kind word, a smile, a patient response, a challenging question, or simply believing in a scholar can make a difference that lasts a lifetime.
Thank you for loving our scholars, believing in them, and showing up for them every day.
We want # # # # to know that we love him too! ❤️ We are so happy that Mills Middle School is becoming a place where he can feel safe, valued, loved, and excited to learn.
Keep up the AMAZING work team! We are on the Move! 🚀
